Etodolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drug with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects in animals. As with other NSAIDs, the exact mechanism of action of Etodolac is unknown; but it is thought to be related to the inhibition of the synthesis of substances that cause pain.

What is Etotio Used for?

It is used for the treatment of sudden and painful muscle contractions in arthritis, painful syndromes of the spine, extra-articular rheumatism, spinal cord diseases, and for the treatment of post-traumatic or post-operative pain in adults and young people over the age of 16.

How to Use Etotio?

  • Every 12 hours in adults; It is used as 1 film tablet at most 2 times a day.
  • The total duration of treatment was limited to 7 consecutive days.
  • It is only available in an oral form.
  • The tablets should be taken on a full stomach with water.

Side Effects of Etotio

Etodolac Drug Interactions

As with other NSAIDs, simultaneous administration of etodolac and aspirin is not generally recommended due to the potential for increased side effects.

In simultaneous use of Etodolac with ACE-inhibitors, furosemide, lithium, methotrexate, warfarin, cardiac glycosides, cyclosporines, phenylbutazone and probenecid, anti-platelet agents and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, corticosteroids, tacrolimus, zidovudine, mifepristone, quinolone antibiotics; Care should be taken in terms of efficacy and undesirable effects.
